What is Tdarr?

Tdarr is a distributed media transcoding system with a web UI that monitors libraries and applies user-defined encode conditions using plugins. Multiple worker nodes can be attached to distribute transcoding load across machines.

Run Tdarr in Even

Even Stacks launches Tdarr as a managed container on your own machine. No compose files, no manual setup.

Open the Even Stacks panel in Even. The container engine starts on demand.
Find Tdarr in the one-click services and click Launch.
Even pulls the image, starts it on port 8265, and serves it over trusted HTTPS at https://tdarr.localhost.

Drive Tdarr with your AI agents

Even ships an MCP, so any agent you run inside Even (Claude Code, Codex, and more) can operate Tdarr directly, at both the UI level and the container level.

Through the Even MCP an agent can open the web UI in Even's browser pane and click through setup, add libraries, or change settings. It runs commands inside the container, reads its logs, and for web apps opens and clicks through the interface in Even's own browser pane. Ask once, for example "set up Tdarr and get it ready", and the agent handles it end to end.

How agents reach it: Configure media libraries and transcoding plugins via the web UI at http://localhost:8265; workers pick up queued jobs automatically. Source media is accessed through mounted volumes; server state is stored under `/app/server` and `/app/configs`.
